Frequently Asked Questions

How much is a commission?

Pricing varies depending on the complexity of the desired work, and I’ll do my best to work within your desired budget. Most personal commissioned pieces are $200 on average. Commercial work, like book covers, promotional materials, etc., comes at a separate rate.

Do you accept commercial work (book covers, promotional materials, etc.)?

Yes! I have experience working with authors, print publications, retail brands and more, and will review all inquiries as I receive them. Please note that the answers below do not apply to commercial work, as revisions, exclusivity, and turnaround time can be adjusted per the scope of work required.

How and when do you accept payment?

All payments will be handled via Paypal. All commissions require a 50% deposit, with the remainder due upon receipt of completed work.

When will I see the commissioned work?

You will receive an in-progress digital proof, at which point you can make suggestions, and final files when the artwork is complete. Once the work is complete, additional edits may be considered and are subject to additional charges.

Do you accept all commissions?

Unfortunately, I cannot accept all requests, and will prioritize requests that fit in with my existing portfolio, style, and body of work. All requests will be responded to in the order they are received, so you will hear from me regardless of our ability to work together.

Will you paint my baby/dog/cat/frog/etc.?

As cute as they are, at this time I am only painting work featuring adults. I am not painting animal portraits. I will only consider painting a subject between 13-18 years old with clear written consent of a parent/guardian.
